   i think you might find some great music from Hocus Pocus, also hiphop.
   also, the leader of the group, 20syl, is part of C2C, a group of djs. This guy is amazing!

   Yann Tiersen is an interesting musician too (composed music for the movie Amelie).

   Jad Wio, Noir Desir. For humour, there are Les Betteraves, les Fatals Picards, etc. XD
   Hocus Pocus are amazing. :D

   There are a lot of metal bands and electro artists but I don't know much about them.

   Not hip-hop but I like Vive la F?te and YELLE.
   YELLE's pretty mainstream, but not as many people know about Vive la F?te.

   I was actually listening to some French Pop the other day. Small world. Umm... I found YELLE, which is pop-techno stuff, and Rose, which is nice,happy acoustic pop stuff. Try Ciao Bello, by Rose. Both were really cool.
