정말이지 50번 넘게 본 것 같아... 오늘도 끝까지 한번 보고 심지어 DVD2에 있는 메이킹 비디오까지 샅샅이 봤는데... 미쉘 공드리.. 늘 좋아했지만, 이젠 사랑스럽다ㅎㅎ CG로 처리한 시각효과들이라고 생각했는데, 거의 전부 수작업이었더군. 아날로그. 이런 저런 실험을 하면서 즐거워하는 감독... 프로의 모습이라기보다는 크레파스를 쥔 아이의 모습이랄까? 사실 CG로 했으면 훨씬 편했을 텐데... 이런 식으로 작업하는 이유를 누군가 묻자, 미쉘의 심플하면서 완벽한 대답: "재미있으니까."

그나저나 크리스마스 콘서트 다음날 혼자 이러고 있다. ㅜㅜ

I think I've seen this film over fifty times... I watched it again today, and even saw every single special feature on the second DVD (there's a really good behind-the-scenes documentary). I've always liked Michel Gondry, but now I'm absolutely fanatic. It turns out that most of the visual effects that I thought were done by CG were actually done by hand. Analog. Gondry at work is like a boy with a crayon, experimenting with this and that... visibly having fun. CG would have been a less arduous undertaking for sure... and Michel's response when someone asks him why he does it this way is simply classic: "Because it's fun."

Anyways. It's the morning after our Christmas concert and this is what I'm doing. WTF.
