random memory nerves twitching..

interesting realization:
last night before bed, I was going through my itunes library and came across Dilated Peoples Neighborhood Watch, and had a random "butterfly effect- ish" flash back.
it was from a little over a month or so ago, the day Epik High and I had a tv interview/performance on Arirang TV (a korean channel that's in english). that day, we stopped by the barber shop, (to get all "tv worthy") then Tablo and me headed to the tv studio in Mithra's car. while sitting in the back seat, I was going through the cds Mithra had just picked up from the Hip Hop Playa office, back before our site launched, and found the Neighborhood Watch album. Since I had my laptop already out and handy, I popped it in the drive so I could rock it on my ipod later. it had been I while since I heard any Dilated and it got me hype, reminded me how right it was. we were all about them in high school. i've had it in my ipod ever since, bumpin it in Japan and through out the US tour as well.
then of course I remembered meeting Rakaa Iriscience at the House of Blues back stage after are show, and thought, damn, that's kinda crazy. at that moment in Mithra's car, us meeting Iriscience had already been set in motion.. like without being aware of anything, that seed had been planted in our series of events to come. then I continued to listen to his album, his voice, his lyrics.. and somehow that manifested into connecting with him in LA. that trips me out. kind of a cool little connection i think.
Rakaa it was an honor to meet you, thanks for coming through that night, i hope to link up with you again. and thank you Alice for bringing the man out, amongst so many other things.
